Bonnyrigg Meeting minutes
14th July 2008

Meeting Opened:  20.30 with Colin Shanks in the chair with 23 members
present it was a sombre meet due the tragic death of Chris Richardson,
fondly known to many as Jester. Chris was killed on his motorcycle on
the A8069 on route to Kelso on Friday 11th July 2008.

After a pause Colin continued to discuss road bike safety within the
club, offering members a one to one if they wished.

A welcome was also made to two new visitors/members Sam and Dave.

Billy Mc Sherry and Tam Webster offering to secure a wreath on behalf
of the club for Chris's funeral.

Billy Mc Sherry informing the club of the raffle at Kelso collecting
£537.50 and agreeing with Tam Webster to round of to £550.00, with all
proceeds going to the sick children's hospital in Edinburgh.

Laura Mitchell reminding members wishing to go on the Hartside run to
meet at the Retreat for 10.00am Sunday the 27th July 2008.

A small gift made to Graham Dick from Laura on behalf of the German 
run to Moffat.

Alan Stevens referring to the club as more of a family than a club,
with the loss of a brother, Chris.

Run for Sick Kids

Now that we have your attention, the run is on foot, not on bikes......All for a good cause as Karen Speed is organising this event. So come on lets sponsor Karen and for those folk who are fit enough to run/walk or crawl lets help out.
