July 2009
One year on,
some members remembering Chris Richardson privately, others
stop at the accident spot on route to Kelso, forever in our
thoughts Chris.
Our biggest
Kelso to-date with the club attracting sixty three people
over the weekend, made up of members, family and friends.
The camp site was secured on the Thursday to ensure the club
stayed as one, members having to choose whether they stayed
at the Niddrie end, Morningside end or Oxgangs in the
middle, with some member’s frightened to venture into the
Niddrie end after the hours of darkness. Entertainment came
in the fashion of a Hawaiian theme night on the Friday night
with big Davie and his crew leading the way, and playing
host to the rest of the camp site with a continual area of
cocktails followed by the appearance of the Blues Brothers,
shortly after this the gay cowboy made his entrance with
neon flashing sunglasses, pink cowboy hat, denim shorts,
exposed torso, and whistle blowing, it could only have been
Tam.
Saturday
gave some members the chance to show off their bikes in the
cavalcade of clubs, with Davie on his Suzuki B-King, Mark
with his limited edition Yamaha R1 and Bert with his
restoration RD Yamaha 250 LC , all three bikes with others
from the club drawing a lot of attention over the weekend.
Donations
were received from:
THE TOOLBOX,
HEIN GERICKE EDINBURGH, C&J WILSON LTD KAWASAKI UPHALL, BMW
MOTORRAD CENTRAL DALKEITH, ECLIPSE MOTORCYCLES TRANENT,
FAMILY FREINDS AND MEMBERS, WITH OUT THEIR SUPPORT AND HELP
THE WEEKEND WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE.
As always
the club would like to take this opportunity in thanking
everyone who made the run, and who contributed their time in
promoting the club.
Jimmy
July 2007
Just over thirty adult's, eleven
teenager's and four dogs, making the Thursday, most of the
Friday and eventually stopping on Saturday afternoon for the
sun to finally shine through. Twenty four clubs on
exhibitors stands the BMCC being one of them.
Memorable moments; the rain, being told to leave Kenny's
tent by Colin, who was doubling up as Kenny's personal
bouncer, tug of war on the wet grass, Duncan and Billy
showing off their bikes in the show, Dean winning the cream
cracker competition, Duncan's quiz night, Alan just about
managing to fit into his tent (again), Gus military training
failing him, lasting only one night! Saturday night at the
club house jumping up and down with the guys and Carol.
Once again big thank you to all who made the trip down to
Kelso and made it all possible promoting the spirit of
motorcycling and the club. Jimmy
